A cheque dated 1932 bears the 32mm embossed revenue duty stamp of TWO PENCE indicating this tax was paid upon presentation of this cheque in South Australia. A member showed this cheque as found in a bulk lot distributed by another member of the society a few years ago. Also shown to the group present at the NSSA monthly meeting was the dies used to make this stamp (or one of only a few made). Both the male and female dies were passed around the group, the female inscribed with W. COWARD the name of the engraver, die sinker and medallist who produced it back in the late 1920’s.
